One of the pieces of our campaign is raising money for deferred maintenance. Our goal is $250,000 toward deferred maintenance, including the $75,000 we have already raised. Our facilities are between ten and twenty six years old, and in some instances are starting to show their age.
One of the challenges we have faces in the past years has been thinking on how to follow through with projects, get the funds raised, and then have the people in place to actually make the project come to fruition. How is this going to be different?
What are the main things coming up?
The funds will be used for the roof replacement, heating and ventilating system replacement, and parking lot resurfacing. The first priority for funds raised will be the replacement of the roof.
what about the sanctuary?
A part of the challenge of deferred maintenance is that there are things that have to get done which no one can see, and there are things to get done which are very obvious. How do we decide what is important?
